A Collagraph is artwork done by gluing a dimensional element onto a board; after that surface is sealed with a solvent the board or artwork is inked, painted and wiped to leave recess paint on the final artwork. As a mixed media artist, I instinctively began using my landscape photography as the base image and inspiration for the carved layering of figures and lastly painting acrylic layers over my images to create a new Collagraph artwork as you see it..
